Clicker, the internet TV guide, is damn cool but just doesn’t cut it on an HDTV. Before today, Boxee was the only way to get a decent view of Clicker in your living room. Now Clicker has a 10-foot viewing experience for everyone else: Clicker.tv

Clicker.tv was introduced at the Google I/O conference today. The Google Chrome team wanted to acknowledge what can be done on the web with HTML5 which uses no downloads or plugins.

I haven’t played with it in depth but I like what I see so far. I’ll call this a fluke and no fault to Clicker.tv but Chrome locked up the first time I tried launching a video. Nonetheless, the interface (web site) looks great. It’s simple to use and easy to navigate. Best of all you can use your keyboard or remote control to navigate.

I’ve always considered Clicker to be a glimpse at what I hope internet TV will be. Clicker.tv is an even closer step in the right direction. If you’ve never heard of Clicker do yourself a favor and try it out the beta on your HTPC.
